While fans celebrated Paris Saint-Germain’s advancement to the Champions League final, not all areas of Paris experienced a festive atmosphere. Reports indicate that in parts of the city, particularly near the Parc des Princes stadium, violent clashes occurred between radical groups and law enforcement.

Details: The excitement surrounding the team’s victory over Bayern Munich was marred by incidents involving pyrotechnic mortars, tear gas, and the burning of trash bins. In the 16th arrondissement, aggressive individuals attempted to breach the ring road and even targeted a Carrefour City store on Michel-Ange street. Police successfully thwarted this attempt. At least two individuals were injured, with some young men suffering severe hand injuries from exploding fireworks. Officers faced stone-throwing and firecrackers, prompting the deployment of special police units for crowd control.

Authorities have stated that the unrest is primarily localized around the club’s home ground. In contrast, other parts of Paris maintain a festive and calm atmosphere, with thousands of fans celebrating Luis Enrique’s team’s historic achievement peacefully.
