Kelechi Iheanacho Shines as Celtic F.C. Beats St. Mirren F.C. 6–2 to Secure Scottish Cup Final Spot
Kelechi Iheanacho scored two goals as Celtic F.C. advanced to the Scottish Cup final with a commanding 6–2 victory over St. Mirren F.C. after extra time on Sunday.
Celtic took charge early, with Daizen Maeda scoring just seconds into the match and Anthony Ralston adding another before halftime. However, St. Mirren made a strong comeback in the second half. Mikaël Mandron found the net twice, leveling the score at 2–2 and forcing extra time.
Introduced late in the match, Iheanacho made an immediate impact. He put Celtic back in the lead in the 96th minute and scored again shortly after, contributing to four goals from the Hoops in extra time to clinch the win.
The Nigerian forward has now scored six goals this season and played a vital role in leading Celtic to their fourth consecutive Scottish Cup final.
