Kelechi Iheanacho emerged as the decisive player as Celtic FC secured a crucial 2–1 victory over Hibernian FC at Easter Road, reinforcing their Scottish Premiership title aspirations.
Celtic initially took the lead right before halftime when Daizen Maeda converted a straightforward chance. However, Hibernian responded swiftly, with Joe Newell equalizing during first-half stoppage time.
The turning point came in the second half when Iheanacho entered the match in the 70th minute, replacing Yang Hyun-jun. Just two minutes later, the Nigerian forward scored, restoring Celtic’s advantage.
This goal not only secured the victory but also marked Iheanacho’s seventh goal across all competitions this season.
