Liverpool is reportedly ahead of Paris Saint-Germain in the pursuit of highly-rated Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig this summer, according to The Athletic.
The report indicates that Liverpool has already initiated contact with Leipzig as they explore a potential deal, positioning themselves favorably regarding the player’s future.
Despite the increasing interest in Diomande, Leipzig is maintaining a firm stance, stating that the 19-year-old is not for sale unless a significant offer is received. The German club is said to be demanding over €130 million (£112.4m, $151.2m) to even consider transferring the player.
Diomande, who joined Leipzig from Leganés last summer, had a breakthrough season, recording 13 goals and 10 assists across all competitions. He has also expressed interest in a potential move to PSG, stating to French news outlet Telefoot, “It would be a pleasure to play [in Ligue 1], with one of the biggest clubs.”
