Real Madrid is reportedly intensifying its interest in Ghanaian midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi as the club makes preparations for a potential transfer ahead of the 2026 World Cup. Early inquiries have been made, indicating the Spanish giants are keen on acquiring the talented player.

As part of their scouting efforts, Real Madrid has reached out to former player Michael Essien for insights into Yirenkyi’s capabilities. The club aims to gather references that will inform their decision-making in the approach for the young midfielder.

Yirenkyi, currently with FC Nordsjælland, has been valued at approximately €30 million by his club. The 2026 World Cup-bound player had a standout season in Denmark, making 29 appearances, which led to him being honored as the Danish Superliga Young Player of the Year and FC Nordsjælland Player of the Season.
