John Stones’ tenure at Manchester City is coming to a close, as the defender prepares to seek a new club.
The 31-year-old centre-back is expected to leave the club at the end of the current season. Insider Ekrem Konur revealed on social media platform X that Stones will not be extending his contract with Manchester City and will depart as a free agent.
Multiple clubs are reportedly interested in the player, including Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Everton, Newcastle, Bournemouth, and Coventry City. This interest highlights Stones’ potential value in the transfer market.
Stones joined Manchester City in 2016 from Everton for a fee of €55 million. Since then, he has made 294 appearances for the club, scoring 19 goals and providing 9 assists. His current market value is estimated at €15 million according to Transfermarkt.
