The 25-year-old player will not participate in the last round of La Liga against Athletic Bilbao. According to ESPN, Vinicius has received permission from the coaching staff to leave the squad ahead of schedule and travel to Brazil.
Vinicius Junior has had a successful season with Real Madrid, featuring in 53 matches, where he scored 22 goals and provided 14 assists. His early departure comes as he prepares to join the Brazil national team for the tournament.
At the World Cup, Brazil will compete in Group C, facing teams from Morocco, Haiti, and Scotland.
