According to The Telegraph’s John Percy, Man City’s latest bid for Elliot Anderson has been deemed as ‘unacceptable’ by Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis.
Earlier reports suggested that City made a verbal offer for the England international that included a guaranteed £106m fee plus add-ons that could take the price above £120m.
However, Forest appear to be holding out for a guaranteed £125m fee which would certainly obliterate the British record for the most expensive transfer.
Talks between the clubs continue, with all the other clubs out of the race due to the numbers involved.
