The Morocco national football team is facing unforeseen logistical challenges just before the World Cup begins. Reportedly, defender Zakaria El Ouahdi, who plays for Genk in Belgium, has not received his entry visa to the United States and could not travel with the rest of the squad.
While the majority of the team has already made the journey across the Atlantic, the 24-year-old El Ouahdi remains in Morocco due to delays caused by U.S. authorities. The Moroccan Football Federation is actively working to resolve these bureaucratic issues as quickly as possible.
A separate flight for El Ouahdi has been arranged for Saturday, with team management expressing hope that the visa situation will be resolved by then, allowing him to join his teammates in preparation for the important group stage matches.
Morocco’s group stage opponents in the World Cup include Brazil, Scotland, and Haiti.
