It appears the outlook is bleak.
Brazil are set to begin their 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign soon, but one of the team’s biggest stars, Neymar, is unlikely to participate at the start of the tournament. Reports from Sky Sport indicate that Neymar has yet to train with the national team and is expected to miss the entire group stage.
Brazil will kick off their campaign against Morocco on June 14. They have also been drawn into a group with Haiti and Scotland.
In another development, Nicolás Tagliafico, the 33-year-old Lyon left-back and Argentina international, will miss La Albiceleste’s opening match against Algeria.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup, hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, is already underway. However, concerns have arisen over the competition as a serious threat has emerged.
