The 18 Senegalese fans, who have been in prison in Morocco since the Africa Cup of Nations final in Rabat, now know their sentences. The Rabat Court of Appeal confirmed the original sentences despite the prosecution’s request for harsher punishments on Monday, April 13.
Nine of the fans will serve one year in prison and face a fine of 5,000 dirhams. The remaining supporters received sentences ranging from three to six months, with fines of 2,000 and 1,000 dirhams due respectively.
