UEFA has resolved the ongoing debate surrounding the controversial incident in Barcelona‘s recent match.

Details: The governing body has officially dismissed Barcelona’s complaint regarding the referee’s call on defender Marc Pubill’s handball in the penalty area.

The committee deemed Barcelona’s claim baseless, upholding both the match outcome and the refereeing decisions, which disappointed many fans of the Blaugrana.

It’s important to note that representatives from the Catalan club argued there was a clear violation of rules by the opposing player that warranted a penalty kick.

However, after reviewing video replays and reports from the referee team, the technical committee concluded that the on-field officials followed the game regulations and VAR protocol correctly, finding no reason to change their decision.
