Mateus Fernandes, the 21-year-old Portuguese central midfielder, has emerged as a target for top European clubs following West Ham’s relegation from the Premier League. The young talent has attracted significant interest from Real Madrid and Manchester United, both of whom are keen to sign him.

As West Ham prepares to offload key players after their drop to the Championship, they have set a price tag of no less than €90 million for Fernandes. This decision comes as the club looks to mitigate financial losses incurred during their relegation.

Fernandes joined West Ham in August 2025, transferring from Southampton for €44 million. Since then, he has made 38 appearances for the Hammers, scoring four goals and providing four assists. His current market value is estimated at €50 million, according to Transfermarkt.
