Real Madrid is seriously interested in Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber. According to Ekrem Konur, the Spanish club views the Dutch player as a vital part of their future defensive strategy.
The 24-year-old is enjoying a stellar season in the Premier League and has established himself as one of the top right-backs in the league. In Madrid, Timber is seen as a possible successor to Dani Carvajal and a key player in their updated defense.
Reports suggest that Real’s scouts have been closely watching Timber’s performances for the last two months, attending nearly every match he has played. His ability to perform well both centrally and on the flank adds to his appeal for Los Blancos.
In response, Arsenal is preparing to offer Timber a new contract with a substantial salary increase to deter Real’s interest. The Gunners are also expected to seek between €85 and €100 million for the defender.
