Atlético Madrid is grappling with the repercussions of their recent exit from the Champions League following a defeat to Arsenal. The UEFA disciplinary committee has imposed a fine of 15,000 euros on the Spanish club due to incidents that occurred during the first leg of their match against the London side.

Details emerged that various objects were thrown onto the pitch from the stands, leading to the sanction. In particular, UEFA highlighted the actions of Atlético fans who greeted the visiting team with a barrage of toilet paper rolls, which were considered a significant safety concern during the match.

The decision to issue the fine was informed by a report from the Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body, which confirmed a violation of competition regulations.
