Vincent Kompany has decisively turned down all opportunities to serve as a television pundit for the upcoming World Cup. The former defender and current coach has expressed that he sees little value in taking on such a role during his well-deserved break.
Details: Insider Fabrizio Romano reported that Kompany responded emphatically when questioned about the possibility of working on TV during the World Cup. “Absolutely no chance!” he stated.
Kompany elaborated on his decision by emphasizing the importance of family. He mentioned that the summer break is a crucial time for him to spend with his loved ones, particularly as he prepares for his new position as head coach of Bayern Munich next season.
“Why should I do this during my holiday? If I accept, then next season in Munich my family won’t be with me. No chance,” Kompany explained.
