Cape Verde has officially canceled its upcoming international friendly matches against Nigeria’s Super Falcons.
Reports from Thursday confirmed this withdrawal, which affects matches initially planned as preparation for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON). The friendlies were meant to help both teams gain match fitness and improve their tactics ahead of the tournament.
The two matches were set for Wednesday, April 15, and Saturday, April 18, at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne.
